Belleville's ground-breaking for the reconstruction and revitalization project has already happened and Phase 1 of the project is now complete. Tymat Solutions happily participated in the tender bid with their King Luminaire decorative fixtures. The entire project consists of fixing the deteriorating wiring underneath the surface level and new asphalt for road paving and sidewalks, as well as a new street lighting investment. Local residents and individuals who work in the Belleville downtown area are very excited to see the changes thus far. Fort Erie gets their LEDs

City engineers for the Town of Fort Erie brought forth the idea of changing the old fixtures to new LEDs in 2015. Though the Town of Fort Erie was originally met with
some uncertainty from Niagara Region, both municipalities realized it would be worthwhile to invest after reviewing the cost savings. It is estimated that within twenty years, the region will have earned its money back in savings - $2.6 million worth of it.
Both GE and King Luminaire helped with this project of 3,266 lights. GE LED fixtures will be used to replace the streetlight/cobrahead lighting in the area and King Luminaire will be used on all decorative fixtures. The project began January 18th 2016 and is aimed to be complete by April 2016, with everything currently running according to schedule. The bright white light will first shine over Crystal Beach - look out for the LED fixtures that Tymat helped Fort Erie implement!

City of Hamilton Switches to LED Streetlighting

The City of Hamilton first decided to make the 10,000 fixture switch to LEDs in 2009. The project finally started in the beginning of 2015 and was fully completed by the Fall of 2015. The yellow lighting is now replaced by bright and natural-looking white light. The $5.5 million project was partially subsidized by the Ontario initiative
to encourage more cities to make the big switch to LEDs. Further, the change brings $700,000.00 in annual energy savings and reduces the city's overall carbon footprint.
The "cobrahead" fixtures are General Electric fixtures that Tymat Solutions proudly represented for this project.
